Waiting is worth the pain

by Jeff Weiner   Aug 27, 2012

For those times that I sit home alone
Which happen much too often,
Wondering if its just bad choices
That keep me in this living coffin,

So many times reaching out
To get hands that reach just short,
Seeming destined to be alone
Unless settling for less of sort,

The past has shown that less wont do
When knowing I want more,
Waiting seems to hurt so much
To see what fate has in store

This poem is short and to the point with a good rhyme all the way through.
You have expressed so much depth and reflection about life that I can relate to!
    I found this really captivating...

"That keep me in this living coffin"

I like the way you have linked life to a living coffin it is a very intricate metaphorical description!

I like the way you have lead the reader throughout this poem to travel back to the past with you and to discover that waiting isnt always the best solution but actually moving forward might get you there!

thankyou for sharing such a beautiful and amazing piece!
