Gem Tones Surrender

by Meme   Aug 27, 2012

Your diamonds cut through
my champagne topaz skin,
and again I bleed. Why do you
always love me wearing shades
of ruby red pain?

You strangle me with my own
pearls, and then you release
so I can drink a little freedom
away from your cold tiger eyes.

Soon, I will surrender to my own
citrine fragility under those; no
longer, amber skies.
.
.
.
Please! Let me go!

    EEEEEK.
I'm squealing because I love this so much. I have tried writing my own poem using gems before and it turned out corny and lame... yours... oh dear God, it's beautiful.

Champagne topax skin, ruby red pain, amber skies.... oh, and I definitely love the "You strangle me with my own pearls"--- only the wonderful Meme could come up with these beautiful words. <3

Brilliant thoughts in few lines. I loved it deeply.
A strange question is roaming my mind. Why do we always imagine the male has the cold tiger ice whereas the female's freedom is the one always controlled in his hands?
Sometimes the female shows her angry burning and boiling CAT eyes and her red-painted fingers as cat claws while she's showing as defendng herself but the reality says she's never defeted.
