Seafoam Green (acrostic)

by Chelsey   Aug 27, 2012

Suddenly, we saw lanterns advance into the sky,
entering intentionally, the wonders of the galaxy.
Arms wrapped me tightly, and ears listened to
fascinated voices and gasps resounding.
Outshining the stars were not just floating lights,
astonishingly, it was your prize winning smile.
Mesmerizing the crowd as you waltz with your bride.

Gracefully, we twirled into air that breathed bliss,
rendering up our love to the nights entity
Everyone was watching the way my dress spun.
Everyone observed your marveling expressions.
Not me, I was lost in the color your eyes appeared tonight.

Nice ending, your poem disusses the huge expanse around us then brings us right down to a small focal point with the last line,
This is an awesome acrostic chelsea the pace almost waltz's as you read it. You have avoided the trap people make with acrostics, you haven't carried over any lines to fall in place with the begining letter of the next line. Good write.

Chelsey, I read this and promised I'd come back to comment but must have got tied up with something else ;)

Okay...So I don't much like acrostic, the restrictions pose too much for me, and I can never get them to flow properly...I think you did a good job here, I love whole Sea foam green thing, makes it sort of beautiful and naturalistic...

I love how it sort of feels romantic but honest, it's not too over the top lovey dovey but has that sweetness to it.

    Always love your writes...

    I love seafoam green, lol.
If I ever saw a man's eyes that color, I would melt. <3

I love the images you captured of the lanterns floating and of them dancing, your dress spinning, everyone watching and how much none of that really matted as long as you were in his arms and looking into his beautiful eyes. It radiates of love and I will be adding to my favs. :)
