Foolish Love

by layla   Aug 27, 2012

You promised so much, each promise embedded
My heart and my soul, the feelings I've dreaded
I knew in my heart, your love was a reach
But how could I tell, with your persuasive speech

Held on to a dream, thought your love was the key
Now I know truth, love never comes free
The price that I paid, engaged in your games
Was more of a blow, then the NY exchange

Karen will be there, when I am done playing
Your foolish assumptions, are heavily weighing
So that being said, iv come to conclude
The person I loved, is no longer viewed

I Deserve truth, the most passionate love
A boy and a girl, who fit like a glove
But with you it cant be, a choice that you made
Your heart isn't warn, its cool like a shade

Ill cry for a while, and then ill grow strong
My heart holds much love, runs miles long
One day I will meet, a similar love
Who makes me feel free, free as a dove

My tears they will come, but soon they will go
The summer is flooded, so I wait for the snow
Can you imagine, the worth that you hold
Only two season, of tears tell your old

Old in my mind, and strange to my heart
This is my time, for a fresh Karen start
I'll open my heart, not today or tomorrow
