My grassy plain

by Alanis   Aug 28, 2012

The grass sways in wind. One way
In one way out. I stand at the entrance
to this grassy wasteland. Stalks of
grass the size of trees stand before me
In ridicule. "Coward" it says. I look
Straight at it then those words play in
My head again "one way in one way out"
I run as fast as I can, by passing depression
And hate. Straight through love and friends
So when life is over I'll be standing on the other
Side. Paradise.
