If only a flower could talk

by Alanis   Aug 29, 2012

Thy flower of the east, and thy flower of
The west. Bring forth your bloom. Such
Undefined beauty still yet to be found.
If only you could talk. Whispering secrets.
I'd tell you of your splendour. we could
Chat for hours while your thin, gentle roots
Suckle on the ground's sweet nectar. The wind
Would sway your thin leafy figure causing you
To giggle. But why don't you talk to me exotic flowers?
Why ignore my calling? Have I deceived you?
A sigh is all I can muster. The rich red flowers
Stare at me. I can't help but sob. Oh flowers!
I ment no harm! Please talk to me. If only
My imagination wouldn't play tricks on Me.
If only a flower could talk.
