I Gained A Loss, and Lost Again

by Jay Sei   Jun 29, 2004

The things I did to you come so routine (ask anyone).
I spit the truth of how scared I was (I spit on everyone).
You’ve been there before.
You don’t want it happening again.
You were our last resort.
You held it out on your friends.

And it ends in the saddest way possible
due to the fact that forgiveness isn’t
your way this time.
No, not this time.
I just needed a fragment of your time.
I lost someone in life; I gained a new.

Accept this part of the fault, dear friend
(you didn’t help at all).
But thanks for accepting this apology
(it doesn’t help me now).
You know that I’m sorry.
You don’t know what it’s like.
Now I have no one to speak with
of this falling life.

You either help us now and get over it
(get over it).
Or live with the fact that you couldn’t help
(thanks for the help).
