Awaken from a somber sleep
To the dawning of a bright new day
Winters ceasing brings out the sun
Fadeth are the colours of gray.
High up on the river bank
A diamond tear runs down her cheek
Joining with the rivers flow;
She cries it away and lets it go.
A single flower took so much work
And in this day it was given birth
In its beauty she lost sight of care
Pulling it up destroying natures tender touch.
More will grow with time
For now though the beauty has gone
Nature awakes to grief and pain
Not knowing what the world has done.
