This creates a scene of peacefulness. Of nothing but happiness, surrounded by the people you love. I think that is everyone's little piece of paradise. :)

"Were together" it should be "we are together" or we're together.

This piece sounds like a paradise and your words made a serene and peaceful scene in my mind. I also like that this piece brought me back to Adam and eve for some reason. I think it might have been due to the mention of animals surrounding you and your family.
