Mona Lisa smile

by Invisible man   Sep 2, 2012

Familiar faces,
familiar places,
distant memories,
pointless life.

Lifeless smile,
Mona Lisa smile,
life filled blue eyes,
focused past life.

You were once mine,
but now you are immortal,
for I had you once,
in my hands for the time,

Sleeping beauty,
rise no more,
for we were blessed,
no longer embraced.

Pointless life,
just distant memories,
of familiar places,
and familiar faces.

But not yours,
blue eyed, Mona Lisa smile.
