A tribute...

I sit here with thoughts galore,
they're running through me head.
i want to salute my family which passed,
a tribute to the dead.
first off one they say was just like me,
my uncle just had a bad week.
lost everything he ever had,
killed himself for being too weak.
the next two were too unfortunate to see,
i never met them nor seen them alive.
my mother lost her mother,
but she had me and we survived.
the next one to go was my greatest pal,
all the cool games i was sure she knew.
but this nice lady, my pal,
killed herself too.
the closest person in my life,
she was the reason i had fun.
cancer took her body over,
she lost her hair and her life was done.
the last one to go was also so close,
he loved me for dear life.
he fought and fought for a long time,
now he lies peacefully right by his wife.
i salute you all no matter what,
you'll always be in my prayers.
i hope god has taken care of you,
and I'll see you when i travel the stairs.
