Yesterday was a date Anniversary since you left And I let it pass Unmarked unkempt I thought I would always mourn you That my grief would never fade And yet as I sit here No tears have I made I remember you well I can hear you speak I can see you smile I no longer see you weak I almost forgot the moments That months have slipped by That you have been gone so long now So long since we said goodbye And yet although guilt is present I know you would be pleased That you would want me living Not mourning an old grief I thank you for the life That you gave to me And although your no longer here In my heart you'll always be.
