The End

I am hurting,
I am burning,
Somewhere lost and gone.

You can't see me,

Because I'm in the wrong.

The wrong, the right,
Both terrible side to see,
To choose one,
knowing you're not with me.

We are friends,
We are enemies,
But we are not the same.

Both on different sides,
Trying to make our battle tame.

It's lasting forever,
Not seeing an end
To the suffering
And the dead,
To the lies that were said.

I don't see the light
At the end of our tunnel,
Which drives me to think
That the end is nowhere near.

This will go on
For as long as we let it,
And let it go on we will.

Different thoughts,
Different actions,
The same motivations.

Not knowing how to stop,
Not trying to go back
To the way things used to be
Because it's too far off-track.

Our friendships demolished,
Our morals destroyed,
I doubt we will try
To go our separate ways.
