I enjoyed your twist on the fairytales you incorporated in this piece. Instead of the usually love-themed stories and happy endings, you turned it around completely, which for me, made it all the more enthralling.

"And so all the children ended up in the
river."
This line is so creepy and dark; it's stuck in my head. It's beautifully-written.

The "Thing" made me laugh :P
