Hatching Eggs (Acrostic)

Yes, it was very challenging for me, but that was the part of challenge I suppose. lol

I have read and enjoyed formed poetry before but never really written one. This definitely inspires me to try some time.
This is a great poem, the ending made me smile. I dont often find humor in poems so this must have been really challenging. Truly well done!

Lovely write, can't really say what the source of inspiration is rather the theme of the poem. What i do know is that you penned a beautiful piece that enjoyable. :) ..

Hens sit clucking, awaiting the
*this first line is great. it really caught my attention (: maybe not end the line with "the" though

Arrival of their precious chicks
Their bedding soft, their owners
Caring; readying for chicks to
Hatch one by one, then
Incubating the fluff balls
**these 5 lines paint a really beautiful picture. I can imagine a barn filled with hens and chicks ready to hatch.

Not allowing them to freeze
Growing, forever growing...
**maybe change this line. the flow of repeating growing kinda threw me off

Eggs are born from hens
Gracious little fluffy babes..
Gus carefully collects the chicks:
Sir, that's not a hen!
**I was kind of confused by this last part and read it a few times. now i get it hahaha
