Mist Of Lies

by Meme   Sep 4, 2012

You had your own life and I had mine
But I begged you to never leave me behind
Lost; without you I couldn't see the signs
That mist of distance had left me blind

I have traced your lines once or twice
You no longer write me amongst them
I don't know if it's life or your choice
To set my presence out to condemn

Your pen never ceased to keep me alive
But also with it you penned my ending
Little did I know that a day would arrive
For me to realize you were only pretending

Was I ever really close to your heart?
I am starting to question it all again
Maybe it was just a big lie from the start
You kept me close for your personal gain

^ Those were really good :)

I like your title a lot. The rhyme in the piece, however felt a little bit forced and trite.

    Write on~

As always Meme, you fascinate me with how simple you can be, yet how creative you can go in using this simplicity as a base for magic. I liked the plot a lot!
