    Horrible when bad news reaches you over the phone. All you can do is listen and collapse when the line finally clicks.

    The emotion in the poem is very powerful. I could easily picture myself as that man; that sad feeling turning to numbness. Losing someone and receiving such devastating news through a phone call is very depressing. Very well written.
