After breaking up over a text

After believing you when you came back last time
After believing you when you told me everything I needed to hear
After learning that those words were empty
Meaningless

After the way you handled that last night
After I tried so hard to understand you, but you never tried understanding me
After you strung me along until I couldnt do it anymore
After you blamed everything on me time & time again like nothing I did was ever
right

Now just in different books
And I wish I could rip out all your pages so I could finally stop thinking about

But im condemned to remember the good & the bad
Until my head aches from sleep depravation
Until my body grows dehydrated from a steady stream of tears
