Feel The Same

by LostWords   Sep 8, 2012

Staring at the worthless girl
looking back at her.
Smashing the reflection
to catch the pieces as
they fall to the floor.
Shards of life taunt her.
She rips open all the pain,
deeper and deeper until
everyone who has hurt her
feels the same.

Understanding comes, through some pain. Against all odds, victory abounds.

    Wow, what anger in this.

You definately have the talent for cramming so much emotion into so few words, I love the imagery from this piece and it flowed really well.

Feel the same.... Wow. This poem gives me chills. Perhaps it is because the way you wrote it is very honest and you do not attempt to hide your frustration and bitterness at those who had hurt you. There is one line that strikes me "shards of life taunt her". I immediately pity the girl in the poem as the torture she is going through in life is not something that she can avoid. Living is what that is killing her. Really really good emotions and feelings that are expressed in your writing.
