Maybe

by Brook   Sep 10, 2012

I gave you my heart
on the bridge that night,
All the stars aligned,
Such a beautiful sight,
You took my hand,
As we danced to our song
Never imagined
it would all go wrong,
For you have her
and your daughter too,
I now have nothing
since I can't have you
We talk on the phone,
and we text all the time
I would pack up my things
At the drop of a dime
I miss your voice,
the feel of your touch
I never knew it possible
To ever love this much
You looked in my eyes;
and saw to my soul
Never thought the side chick
would become my new role
It's just six hours
that's what they all say,
But they don't know the distance
we travel each day
The miles between
His heart and mine
Are so far apart
it's becoming hard to find
We both want this,
of that I'm sure
But you have a decision
its either me or her
I told you I'd wait;
a promise I'll keep
But I can't wait forever;
I'm already in too deep
Please just answer
Is it her, or me?

    Many have been in this position, I guess.
    Well written with a nice, natural flow.

    Where offence is found, love is bound. What repels, is not meant to be.
