Three Years

by Some Random Human   Sep 11, 2012

One year, and the days went by,
two years, got harder to try,
three years now, I don't know why,
but this pain I feel just won't relent,
and I can't believe it's real,
man, this life is a rotten deal,
gives you wounds that never heal,
dig me six feet and I'll start my descent,

Three years, since my world died,
three years, bein' buried alive,
three years ago, since I touched you,
three years, since I've seen your face,
three years, bein' stuck in this place,
three years ago, since I lost you,

Every turn, every time I break,
this pain is too much to take,
feelin' weak as I start to shake,
now where you stood, no one stands there,
and you know it's gettin' hard to breathe,
since that day, since you left me,
with eyes full of tears it's hard to see,
and I prayed to God, but He won't answer,

Three years, since my world died,
three years, bein' buried alive,
three years ago, since I touched you,
three years, since I've seen your face,
three years, bein' stuck in this place,
three years ago, since I lost you,

Three years, since my world died,
three years, bein' buried alive,
three years ago, since I last touched you,
three years, since I've seen your face,
three years, bein' stuck in this place,
three years ago, the day I lost you,
three years ago, today I lost you...
