Love Comes Softly

by LostWords   Sep 12, 2012

Laying here gazing at the stars.
How I wish you were here my love.
Wondering, could you be so far?
Oh how I wish you were here my love.

Every day suffers the same.
Minutes drag on to hours.
Whispers of your sweet name,
in a locked away tower.

Your love comes softly,
consumes all of me.
your love falls gently,
it brings me to my knees.

Oh how I wish you were here my love.

Words slur with unimportance,
discovering no feelings to find.
Dancing such a repetitive dance,
entirely absent of mind.

My head is so cloudy
with thoughts of merely you.
My love for you last strongly
no matter what I do.

Laying here gazing at the stars.
How I wish you were here my love.
Wondering, could you be so far?
Oh how I wish you were here my love.
