It was like a slap in the face
A broken thought without a trace
How could I have been this foolish
On the right path, I took the wrong turn
Uncommitment was what my heart had earned
How could I have acted so stupid

No such luck even though you tried hard
You played a fair game
But I cheated from the cards
You said you loved me
But just like my heart
I didn't pay you any mind

From staring, my eyes start to burn
Why did I let myself become this weak

I watch your sunrise eyes
Scan the room and I heard you sigh
For a while, I thought you had forgotten me

You tried so hard
You played a great game
But I wasn't smart
You said you loved me
But just like my heart
I didn't pay it any mind

And so you left me behind
And even if you asked me to love you now
I couldn't even if it saved my life
