Captive Dream

by LostWords   Sep 17, 2012

Thrown on the ground
in an empty white room,
with only one way out.
Trouble is near with
no one to rescue me.

Passing through the lonely door
to meet a mess of stairs,
that leads me back
to that same cold room.

Darkness traps me in
I cry out by day,
at night I'm not silent.
My weak disguise fading
as my exit is my entrance.

A metal box captures my eyes.
Leads me on, yet warns me off.
Blinded by my tears
I cautiously open it.

Dark colored paint showers me.
Dispelling all my fear,
my heart melts within me.
Dark despair sweeps over,
my bones rip out of joint.

Calamity overtakes me.
The noise is deafening.
Thoughts lost in my anguish,
as the blunt force cuts deeper.

Unable to close the destruction.
I'm stuck bleeding uncontrollably,
becoming to weak to fight.

*Inspired by my actual dream. Sometimes dreaming gives you the most creativity.
