Unseen memories
Of an empty past
Haunts me
In thoughts
In dreams
A vague picture
Of nonexistent colors and shapes
Too abstract to be understood
longing . . .
Mutual understandings
Can never be displayed
Bound by vows
So sweetly sworn
Once
In a barred past
Witnessed by flowers and crowds
unchangeable . . .
If lifetimes were just
A touch away
I would caress every surface
And grasp these empty spaces
To reach that world
Where what wasn't
Will be
Where we can love
And you are free
