Wind

by Dawn   Sep 21, 2012

Beat at a stone cold
core, wistfully swaying to
unforgiving roads.

Never remembered
such biting words spoken in
my dried out tear ducts.

Although it's a new
feeling in my decayed heart,
I feel I'll learn soon.

Give me a moment
to recollect old moments
in my vision, gone.

Left with the dust, no
longer lingering in this
drab asphalt nightmare.

This is amazing. A really stunning write. It's one of the best poems I've read in a long time. The way you worded this was brilliant and I really don't know what else to say. Fantastic!

hmm.. may be it's just the chapbook and the bookstore. Perhaps not the poetry links.

Edit: My favorite stanza is the last one, left with the dust.
