This Act Is Over (COLLAB with Abed)

by Jenni Marie & Decayed   Sep 21, 2012

Close your tired eyes,
maybe it's time to take your final bow,
for I have wisened up to your selfish ways,
and now I am here all alone,
knowing how the orphan felt,
how the stray kitten was terrified,
how the little lamb was lost.

Allowed you into that closet of mine,
only for you to rack up another skeleton
and dust the shelves with recklessness.

Women are blinded sometimes;
they falter between inviting arms so fast,
that when you have a firm grip on them,
they realize this wasn't love...

And the revolution embarks.

Once more a struggle sparks
between mind and heart,
common sense and love.

A tug of war bolting,
with the winner so far unclear,
whilst ignorance holds on fast,
his grip tightening,
and finally realization,
of the lack of rules
within this game
sets in.

So close your tired eyes,
maybe it's time to take your final bow,
for I am standing here,
a winner
by all means.
