Computer Parts

by TSI25   Sep 24, 2012

Automatic
Pristine
Unbiased

in function and execution
glorious in scheme
and
obsolete

yet

reminiscent
or perhaps nostalgic

of numb times spent
in the silent humming
of the machine

Now, this is different. Computer Parts: I saw the title and then the genre and thought, is this really going to be about computer parts or will it be a deeper message within the poem, I guess that it is both. Obviously, the topic and title is about a computer but ourselves, we are made up of different parts, that all do a job to keep us running, parts break, and parts need fixing to make us work...whether I actually looked for a meaning, or whether it was there, I am not sure, but I liked it anyway, and it made me think, gave me another look on life

I agree with Andrea, I didn't think anyone would pick this topic, in fact I made a joke about me picking this topic. ..

I absolutley loved your word choice in this. Just perfect! And my favorite part is how you said "silent humming". Love the irony in that. Because a computer does sit quietly, but on occassion makes this noise we all know about.

    Very well done!

TS: I really admired this poem.... a poem about computer parts is not an easy subject, and you took it and ran with it.... I almost felt like you were creating a robotic feeling here... and it was formatted in a fun way.... really love this poem!
