Chains and Halos

by Jack Nightengale   Sep 25, 2012

In the depths of the darkness we are bound, shackled and chained
Forever to be forgotten, shuttered by our pain.
Drowning in the grief of mankind, as sorrow falls like rain
Always at war with each other but struggling in our brain.

In the midst comes light that shines bright like a rainbow,
No weapon just wings and broken halos.
All laid on the line, open arms to keep us stable,
Like dogs we fight with our chains and halos

*just came up with this. Not much time to actually write it.*
