As the sun is banished, the silver moon |

I feel a sense of warmness when someone writes a poem about their children. You can certainly feel the love in the words that you have for your child and obviously the love that she has for you. It is truly beautiful. |

Ohhh that is so sweet Tony! I never knew you had a little girl :) |
Wow Tony, such a beautiful write, I have got to say the first stanza gripped me straight away with the beautiful imagery of nature and the transformation from the sun set to the moon rising. You have captured this transition very well and I like the word you have used 'banished' carrying such powerful connotations of abandonment but it becomes replaced by the elegance of the silver moon. I also admire the images of the starry night sky I find it very clear imagery drawing the reader back to memories of a beautifully lit sky. |

Tony, i really like this write :-) i wrote something for my son a while back called daddys little soldier and i always love it when a poet writes for their children , especially when it evolves around a bed time - in my own personal preference i particulaly like it when the piece has a lullaby quality to it, it's how i rate a poem of this nature to be honest. and i really write this poem :-) your usual flare with words and flow were great but it's that lullby qualtiy of the piece that shines bright for me, genuinely one of my favourite pieces from you, and when your little girl grows up you have to make her read it :-) |
