I Am A Poet

by Areeba   Sep 28, 2012

I am a poet
Who I am?
A lonely traveller on an old dirt road
Walking aimlessly
Dont know where to go
My life is like an empty pot
Nothing is left here
Just me and my tears
Everyday of my life is so hollow
In it, nothing does remain
Just some rain and this bloody pain
I am a statue of flaws
I have made a million mistakes
And to get all these things off my chest
I write
I make poems
I pour my tensions, my pains, my anxities, my sadness, my emptiness on paper
Or maybe you can say
I pour my life on paper
Hoping this meeting of pen and paper
Will simplify my every problem

This is brilliant. I hear the exhale within the poem about releasing your tensions on to paper. It's solidified to remember the moment for years to come.

^^ That was good. That was not just conjured up to give the poem some false meaning. I read that, and I know it comes from within you, and you feel every word written in this piece.

Nice..... I like the flow and how this poem concluded..... Many of us here have penned poems on personal issues and stuffs and it has helped us to tackle our problems or reduce it to some extent after we pour our raw emotions and feelings on the paper!
    Good piece gal....
