Four Letter Word

by Ingrid   Sep 28, 2012

I keep to myself mostly

Lost inside this maze
Of thoughts and feelings
Verbally gifted, yet lost for words
Eloquent in my inner monologue

You, painted in repeating patterns
Of words referring to this utter bliss
Unspoken, unseen, undiscovered

    Hello my dear,

A four letter word 'love' oftentimes this is a throwaway word, a word that we use so often that it looses its impact, its meaning.

The fact that you use this word in its well known phrase 'I love you' adds how this phrase is received.

To me, this poem is 'inner monologue' like how you felt when this was said to you. Before this, life was set, life was self reliant and safe. Hearing these words, makes for a mind whirling into a spin, feeling like a maze.

Now these words are out in the air, in the mind, coursing through a heart, it is now time for the unseen and undiscovered.

    I hoped this panned out.

    Take care,

    Michael xx
