Lonely Tomb

by Baby Rainbow   Sep 28, 2012

I don't even know what to write any more
to make the pain go away.
I hide inside my lonely tomb trying to avoid
the questions people ask.

"How did you get that bruise on your face?"
they ask with a curious tone.

Inside my head I whisper the truth
"That is the same bruise from yesterday's mistake,
only he thought it needed refreshed."

But instead I sigh and do as I'm told
And simply say I fell.

Return inside my lonely tomb,
away from nosy eyes.

I drift off into a dream, one I hope comes true.
The day I wake up free from bruises....

... The day I walk away from you.

The hope in the end shows you have courage and strength in you - just trust and believe a little more in yourself. One day you'd realise those "nosy eyes" are nothing. You don't need to hide anymore.

Indeed, it takes a lot of courage.

Courage that one might think they lack.

Reading this is painful, but it's beautiful at the same time.
