I was thinking of a midnight blue as I read this, often blue is associated with sadness & you worked it in so well here. Hope all is okay with you. This write is so emotional, it's hard to imagine what it would be like without a special someone in your life. That helpless feeling of not being able to do anything for them is one of the worst, it makes your heart break. I love how even though youre sad, you find light in daily life. Beauitful things such as the moonlight, swans, & a ponds reflection symbolizes hope, closure & brighter days rather than the deep blue color you keep seeing. Lovely piece! |

Loved the constant repetition of deep, night blue. It underlines how important it is and it gives this poem strength. Great addition with the Italian bit in the end too! |
