Reality Check

by Yakari Gabriel   Sep 30, 2012

You might think you already
have me baby,

I know you've
memorized the caresses that
make my body thrill,
that you know what words
to say to make me blush
and fall onto your lap
as if it was my home.

you must be thinking you're
far ahead baby, you must
be thinking I am yours.

but I am not.

there's so much you have
to discover, so many things
you still have to learn
about me.

like the way I am petrified
of phone calls, or the way
I am always so absent,
how I don't fight back,
how I choose to be
oblivious to some
things and agnostic to others.

you think you know
all my secrets baby,
but I am a never
ending treasure hunt.

Wow Yaki this was gorgeous! I love the strength you show in this piece and how you put it out there that you will continue to be a mystery, but that this person keeps needing to find out more. Your images were simple but profound like how this person thinks you are theirs....but there's so much more to you. So many more hopes, fears, secrets unravelling and re-forming. A neat write, hope you're doing well :]
