Morning Coffee time...

by Ole Carsten   Oct 1, 2012

Morning Coffee time,
time for making tea and Coffee.
Eyelids glued still after sleep,
The bell just awoke you.

The mobile phone chiming,
Tunes warned about a new day.
Sitting and waking quietly,
Thinking of the day ahead.

The note is on the table,
Telling all task to do.
Except the most important,
What to wear how to dress.

On the wardrobe door,
Hangs the clothes from yesterday.
Bra, knickers, demine jeans,
Shirt and jacket.

An image so dear for me,
Seen it many times,
Remembering with a smile,
After shower you are naked.

Dressing in a routine order,
Knickers to feel dressed,
Bra to feel completed,
You are still a beautiful sight.

If we just had time,
There would so much.
We had to do,
In the morning time.

Instead I am lying,
In bed miles away from you.
Sending a morning prayer,
I am praying for a miracle.

Sweet poem I like how you talk about the simplest things and how they have so much meaning. When you care about someone just replaying times you spent with them is overwhelming. Romantically sweet..

Very endearing scene you portray here Ole.

It almost sounds like the scene taken from a novel which makes it even more beautiful.

The only negative thing I found was the sometimes lack of correct punctuation or use of commas. In some parts of the poem it ruins the flow you put into it. Fix these minor mistakes and you have yourself a great poem.
