Niagara [haiku]

by The Queen of Spades   Oct 4, 2012

Under a blue sun
Living water crashes down
Dancing in white foam

When the moon awakes
Rainbow of hues greet the sky
Wonder fills the night

And during it all
A thousand eyes stand in awe
Beloved mem'ries

This is a very refreshing triple haiku. It's amazing how much imagery can come out of these little forms.

I haven't heard of the expression "under a blue sun" so that's unique and that's always something to admire.

I'm not too fond of the "mem'ries" but I'm pretty sure you done it for the syllable count. At first I thought it might have been a typo until I started counting syllables, lol.

Overall, I love it. Very serene and I can definitely picture the Niagara Falls.
