This is so honestly sad. the "how in love with you I once was" part got to me, just the wording of it.... and I love how you can really tell such emotions with your choosing of words. The simplicity was beautiful here, I can see this grandma and you sitting and talking about everything in life- and then getting to this one person who's been a part of your past.

Excellent write, the brevity just makes it bittersweet. I liked the significance of this short lunchbreak: remembering this person, that picture, and then wanting to tell the grandma how you loved him/her. Just stating that and not going into detail or descriptions....having that speak for you....I'm not sure if this person is just not present or has passed away but it is a really thoughtful image.

*Thank you for your comment as always Yaki, I appreciate it! Hope you're doing good ;)

Well Maryanne said EVERYTHING I was going to say lol...I too like the simplicity of this, it leaves me guessing all sorts of things. What made you want to visit this Grandma? Is this person dead or alive? Was it love like soulmates, or love like a family member?...

Reminiscing is so often painful so anyone who has lost someone for whatever reason can relate to this poem.

    Love you :)
