Sadness on a rainy night

by Ole Carsten   Oct 6, 2012

Night made of velvet fabric dark with shadows,
I am confessing silently in the window felling a breeze.
Listing to all sound remembering a sweet smile
I am drawing a small touch in the open air.

The sun had set quietly behind the rain,
Now the moon is our planet to see.
A day has fade away, now the stars begin to blink,
Reflecting like fireflies in the oceans waves,
Small images are painting your lips in my mind.

My hand is still in the open air moving,
Maybe they are following a contour a shape.
Pictures of us is piercing my soul,
Golden moments are frozen in time.
Times are standing still at night.

Days bring celebrations of life,
Nights bring despair and loneliness,
Still watching my hand now wet.
I am moving it still following a small curve,
Feeling nights wet fabric on my fingers,
It feels like I am touching your dress.

Hours ago I saw your beauty unfolded,
An act of courage brought us together.
There was no distance between us then,
Not like now while we are sharing the moon,
I think of a golden moment, like you, I love you.
