Wow... nice poem...

This is simply beautiful, it is sad maybe one side love I see in this poem the persona, she is just talking to her diary writing more about her love to that person asking it to convey all her hidden feelings to him once she isn't around anymore.
it is a well written poem and your style was awesome.

Dear diary, please

- i always love poems that start with a diary entry, it makes me aware that what I am about to read is going to be coming from deep inside and can be quite emotional.

Show him the traces
of tears I shed upon your
pages when I first
came to realize he was
in fact the first man I loved.

- this was so touching here, and you introduce this character but at the same time you are not aiming this at him, it is very direct to your diary, this shows that these pages have been there for you and understood you more than perhaps anything else.

Tell him about the
girl; whom with only his name,
wrote ballads that filled
her library of thoughts. Where
he possessed every corner.

- this person clearly means a lot to you, and sounds perhaps like he may have not been aware of this.

Ask him to read out
loud all the unsung verses
she planned to whisper
into his ears; the sounds that
lulled her, the ones from his heart.

- this is kind of sweet but sad at the same time, to think she has wrote such songs which have not been heard or read, just unknown until someone finds them.

And let him keep you,
dear diary, let him hold
on to every word.
And together with you, let
him figure out who I was.

- ohhh I love this ending, it could be two meanings,( for me ) it can be that this man you loved was someone you admired but they did not know about this or about you, and so he would have no clue about you or your feelings for him. But on a deeper level it could mean this person did you know but they seemed to not understand you so you are writing this diary in attempt for them to know the real you.

Really enjoyed this, very deep poem. Well done.

First stanza: You know from the start it is going to be full of heartfelt emotions because of dear diary. People pour their heart and soul into their diaries because they know the pages will never judge them. You want your diary to be there for him when you are gone..you are going to finish writing all your feelings in there for him to know how you truly feel.

Second stanza: I love this stanza... oh God. I think many can relate too, for the ones who do write in their diaries, I'm sure the pages have soaked up many of tears!

Third: Writing his name repeatedly over and over in your diary... every single girl in the world can relate to that...we love to doodle his name over and over until there is no more space to write. :)

Fourth: You want him to read our all the words you couldn't say to him... all the words you truly felt with your heart and how much you truly did love him.

Fifth: You want him to cherish your diary after you are gone... to read every word and find out who you were and how you felt about him and for him to maybe fall in love with your words and who you once were. <3

There is this ease I always get from your pieces. Your language is so easy and flows really good, though I mean that positively; you only depend on simplicity to deliver these strong emotions. Lovely!!!

I pictured you writing this in your diary and communicating to your diary still about this man.

Wanting the man to really see your feelings, because it seems that he hasn't done so. :(

but you really want him to know how you felt about him and how important he was for you.

You really want him to realize who you were when you were in love with him.

and pretty much this diary is the last means for you to still live in him through your words and feelings.

May be if he reads the diary he could finally see what he didn't not but it will be too late.

This piece spoke my mind .. I so relate to it... Sometimes some events, some people become so integral in our lives that we capture them, their expressions, their part of life spent with us in a diary of trust. I just loved every bit of this and the style acquired didn't affected the meaning, sense and feel of this write.. An emotionally captivating write...

The opening is fantastic to make the reader cling to the poem... atleast to me... It shows how you have to fill in your book of life just to make it give a glimpse of you to your love and how you don't want to lose any detail for him...
