Smoke screens and mirrors but you see a will that is strong,
Usually means both clowns are out, "Shit!.. there's something wrong"...
and just because you havent seen the tears in my eyes,
Doesnt mean im not hiding a heart that suffers excruciating cries.

If easy is what you want, i guess you're where you're supposed to be,
I cant help being ten steps in front, " thats just me!".
Its the desire to want more of the intriguing man you hide inside,
Not just the boy everyone sees me stood next to with pride.

So i stand by my decision to let you grow up at your own pace,
as i see life as a journey and not as a race.
Its the life in your years and not the years in your life,
you maybe going through girlfriends, "i believe you'll only ever have one wife!"

I fell for your beautiful soul you try so hard to erase,
deeply buried in the bronze jewels, on your angelic face.
Although you dont see it, ive always done right by me,
