Smiling Flicker

by Yakori bint Muhammed   Oct 8, 2012

28th September, 2012.

It blinded me like a full beam of twilight;
radiating my milieu with her shimmer.
Across this art is her beautiful smile;
gesturing a further twinkle from her dexterity.

Her charm is gushing a storm momentarily;
as drizzles of apt calmness exudes within.
Absorbing the chill polish from her hands;
she converted light onto still damp life.

Always romancing the petals flourish;
she conceits in blossoms of her polaroid.
Leaves stalk dwell in her deep eyes;
creating a habitual trend to keen inhabitants.

Her presence blends passion in summers welcome;
glorifying sparkle of rays from the azure sky.
Every static memory is captured in here;
as a lifetime is caused to emit on paper.

Never dull is time under her watch;
scenarios inspire a frolic with her instincts.
Actions stimulate an array of motives;
waiting to always bask in the arousal of shots.

I've long dialogued with her prints;
shooting soothing visions into my soul.
A dialogue with her facade is a wait;
for an eternal smile behind her flashes.

A trubute to a brilliant dexterous photographer, Aisha Augie-Kuta

    This stanza really made it for me. You have a way with words that i even fail to describe. You are just amazing at writing and this tribute proves it.

    I read this a time ago, and it still gets me everytime. I have rarely read something about photographers, and I couldn't even discern your idea without the foot note. And I can feel that this is a unique photographer with a uniquer vision.

    That's flawless!
