Cinderella

by lillie   Oct 9, 2012

You speak my name and I begin to laugh.
if possible you would draw out your love for me on a graph
We once went out, and in the moment I was numb.
Unaware of what I felt, my heart didn't thump like a drum

I ran away, I was silent, I was still.
Like Romeo to Juliet you chased me, it gave me chills.

Ive never met a man quite determined like you.
Like Cinderella, you were determined to give me my shoe.

You know im not a doll, diva, or a princess for that fact.
With me there are no lies, your you and dont ever have to act.

Most people act out scenes of perfection with the ones they love.

Dry your pretty eyes, those things you dont have to think of

You chase me day in, and day out.
You speak to me, because you love what Im all about.

Romance at its finest, and you just want to make time for me.

Seeing my face would put you in such glee.
I think your beautiful, but i dont know if you hold my key.

For I am a girl, whose been broken hearted and torn.
Its just not certain that.. for you I was meant to be.
