Wishful Thinking

by Roses Bleed   Oct 9, 2012

The flower's dew drops that have fallen,
just like those unworthy.
The sun's rays have been stolen,
When will they come back to me?
You are not worth the tears I shed,
yet they fall in turn.
The life you left behind and fled,
was it that deep a burn?
Were the memories of you and I
of happiness so full and plain,
That horrid to your knowing eye,
that insulting to your name?
Was the love that I thought flowed so freely,
Just an illussion or a game?
I wish I could tell but you're image is fleeting,
You have run so far.
If you happen to think about coming back,
tell me, so I can wish on a star.

Good little write, it is a bit of a mixture of emotions for this person, longing for them to return but also the pain of them not being here right now.

I wish I could tell but you're image is fleeting,
    You have run so far.
