Natures Face

by Chelsey   Oct 10, 2012

I see the bagginess under her blue eyes as unanimated clouds
discolor her complexion. She does not cry liquid flavored tears today,
but instead, yellow crippled leaves whose rustling weeps on their own.
Her arms aren't swaying normally, they are lurching about vigorously,
fighting conditions that have come to attack her temperature.

She's fevered; bones are chilled, as the skin remains fervent.
Her presence is enough to suck the blood out of human veins,
but she can't alter her impressions. Its permanent.
This is the season for natures face to break the hearts of
the believers, condemn the sinners, and bring death to creatures
who fail to salute her.

I don't know why I haven't commented on this one. Well, maybe because I was so busy with school when you submitted this masterpiece, lol.
I don't really know what to say but this is one of my favorite poems by you. It holds a great message, the imagery is amazing, and I just love the tone you used throughout the piece. Fully deserved win. Congrats!

Wow Chels Chels, this is amazingly powerful. The flow of this one is so fast beat and each new line holds a unique image which you have painted so clearly. You done a great job describing the season.

"Her presence is enough to suck the blood out of human veins"

    - I imagine this to be the sudden drop of temperature which makes you feel so cold like your blood has been drained.

This is definately about nature, but it also has a little bit of darkness inside it also, with the consequences of people or the creatures who interfere with her ways. Your language is quite dark in places , especially the second verse. This also ties in with the season aswell, cold, dark, gloomy and depressing.

Well done on the win and I am sorry to take so long to catch up, but glad to see it won! xx
