The loss of my life

I realized how much I loved you
Two weeks to late
Why did your light have to fade.

On that horrid night
I felt you with me
Even though we were cities apart.
You were always that close to my heart.

We met when we were so young
You were only ten
But already knew that you loved me then.

I miss you everyday and every night
My heart is filled with sorrow
And days are no longer bright.

You were the love of my life
And the biggest loss I've ever endured.
In the after life I will find you of that I am sure.
