Baby R, you kill me with this one.

"Overwhelming feelings
consuming me into darkness
where light does not exist"

~I've known this feeling all too well. It's really a simple stanza, not too wordy but powerful enough to take me right back there, with you. I've spent many days surrounded by people, by "light," but still felt completely consumed by darkness.~

"Shadows gnawing mercilessly
through my fading skin
and into my dying soul.

Invisible voices echoing,
boucning bewteen brick walls
which I am trapped within. "

Tortured by my trouble mind,
defeated by the taunting ghosts,
swallowed by the deep black hole."

~Too much of my life was spent locked inside my head, hearing all the voices, sometimes even just ONE voice, telling me the things that made me despicable. I too, have felt that I was dying on the inside, like by the time I'd run the course of my life, I would have no soul left. It was eating away at me.~

"Existance exists no more."

~I finally came to a point in my life where the way I was living quite literally made me afraid. I used to describe it to my mother that ...I was merely existing and that wasn't a way to live. It took me getting to that point, to pick myself up and start to change my life.~

Your poems make my heart hurt and saddens me, as I've told you before, I feel like I am looking into my past life through your eyes.

I absolutely love the way you can put your pain to paper, and I applaud you Baby, because while so many people attempt to do the same, not many pull at me, the way your writing does.

Very strong write, and while it makes me sad, it is very powerful, and amazing.

Baby R what is thiiisssssssss??!! Ugh, I usually stray from reading dark pieces. They creep me out. But this...I loved this!!

I thought your word choice did wonders for this poem. I loved gnawing mercilessly...good wording, seriously I was like "oh wow! Nice" lol...

Your last line really is what completes this whole thing as an ending should, but where someone would need a whole stanza to wrap up a poem, you did that with 1 line. Very powerful.

I sensed the darkness, but the sadness is worse. I think there has to come a point in someones life who feels this way, where they hit rock bottom and realize, "I have a purpose and I need to strive and find out what that is!"....I don't believe people are here to simply "exsist" and it saddens me to read this. You have a purpose babe.

Meanwhile, you're getting great poetry out of it!

I think you forgot turning the light on, the switch is near you, but because of the dark you cant reach it, try to walk slowly, and carefully you'll be there^_^

I read this many times cause I LOVE it,the choice of words was really great, it drew a really nice piece here. Awesome job..

I don't remember reading any of your poetry before...or commenting...but I saw Chelsey's comment on my news feed thing and was intrigued by the comment...

I could feel the sadness in this, the whole poem was really powerful, it was simple yet flowed well and the darkness was really vivid and strong...it made me feel a little uncomfortable but in a good way...it gave me chills.
I think the sadness is evident here, and I don't know you well enough to comment on that, but it is evident and that saddens me a little.
