A Normal Day

by Maple Tree   Oct 15, 2012

Lost in a world of surprise,
entagled in webbed finger
points and regection,
you wrapped illusions
around passion, and
called me beautiful.

I tasted the fire of
your eyes and ran
away with the sand,
still moist between
my toes, flavored
each flirtation with
a hint of lemon drops,
as our kisses stood
alone in the doorway
after two am....

our slumber is a honeymoon
and it makes the reality
of my love for you
even sweeter in the
shadows of a normal day.

Lost in a world of surprise,
    entagled in webbed finger
    points and regection,
    you wrapped illusions
    around passion, and
    called me beautiful.

    - great opening, spelling error: Rejection.

    I tasted the fire of
    your eyes and ran
    away with the sand,
    still moist between
    my toes, flavored
    each flirtation with
    a hint of lemon drops,
    as our kisses stood
    alone in the doorway
    after two am....

    - this is soooo soppy and romantic and I love it. It reminded me of the scenes in films where they do these things in the beach and the little kisses in doorways. i never hear about them in real life though, but your imagery makes it seem so real.

    our slumber is a honeymoon
    and it makes the reality
    of my love for you
    even sweeter in the
    shadows of a normal day

    - Aww that is beautiful, genuinely lovely poem and well put together.

I love your tone here, made feel that you're comfortable after somethings going on, and the normal day that passes by you with the person you love:)

    Great job..
