A dialog with a bird

by Khalid M Darwish   Oct 16, 2012

I am like you, my bird of grief,
with no country, just my belief

I've what enchants a child at night,
alienation and joys of light

I've got no place or space to roam,
since only your eyes are my home

From a past age, lost in the time,
I'm back with a song and a rhyme

Its sound cries for a happiness,
between the roses and weakness

My dream, yesterday I'd a big
bird visiting me on a twig

What an illusion you've lived in,
were you in mind or not within!

The bird has no home other than those eyes.
wanting to fly but the only place where the bird can land are those precious eyes.

I got a bit confuse with the bird.. rather with this sentence

My dream, yesterday I'd a big
bird visiting me on a twig..

if you are going to be the bird how can you visit you on the twig.. that question went throw my mind when I read it.

Other than that sentences, I think everything else is good, I didn't count the syllables but I'm guessing you checked them with the site so they should be okay.
