Meringue joy

by Larry Chamberlin   Oct 26, 2012

Happiness is like wood shavings
from dross in sculpting:
it occurs as a by product
of doing something important.

Seeking happiness is like
tasting chiffon spun cream:
so attractive, smells so sweet
but melts away threadbare.

    Larry - you had me at meringue! ;) {from one sweet tooth to another lol!}

    I really enjoyed this poem. I was curious to find out what it's about! I like how you defined happiness in the beginning.. it was an interesting take.

    I love this part: "Seeking happiness is like
    tasting chiffon spun cream:
    so attractive, smells so sweet
    but melts away threadbare"

    From what I understood, I think you mean that happiness comes and goes, and could last a short time, like the taste of meringue... but you should still enjoy those moments.

    Well that's my interpretation!

    Great job!
